Witch has always been a reclusive entity, a part of mankind, yet a race apart. There are many who claim the name Witch, yet know little of what Witch is, and even less of what Witch does. To practise ‘magic’ or ‘witchcraft’ doesn’t mean someone is Witch, neither does the claim that someone was ‘born’ into ‘a witch family’. This is often the easiest trap to fall into, for the Bloodline of Witch is not always passed by physical means, although it would be wrong to say this never happens, what is required often lays dormant, until the call of the Witch Mother stirs sleeping Witch, and this begins a pathway that cant be ignored.
Those who do hear the call, and feel Witch within themselves begin to stretch and awaken have a difficult pathway ahead, for the first question that arises is this. “In the plethora of groups, individuals and the like who are offering entry into Witchdom, which ones are what they claim to be, and which aren’t? To which, this Family would offer these words of advice.
“Does what you are being given, or told, feel right for you?”
If the answer is yes, then go ahead and experience what is offered, it is often the way that many gateways must be accessed before the right one is found, when this happens, you will know, you will feel it. If the answer is no, it doesn’t feel right, then walk away and search elsewhere. One of the tools Witch uses is that of the sixth sense, use it well and it will serve you the same. Those who are meant to find their way will do so
Slowly, especially during the past two thousand years the ways of Witch have become cloaked in mankind’s perception, the knowledge and understanding that was once held by Witch has been changed beyond recognition in an attempt to control society and serve the ego of some individuals. As peoples begin to realise that today’s offerings of christianity, wicca, and the like do not sustain or fulfil, an attraction to the occult has gained momentum, and people feel drawn to find what once was. Most search diligently in books, and in the writings of others to find what they need, and end up with a vision clouded by illusion, as ritual and ceremony takes over, pretty coloured candles and ribbons on trees, worship of deity and agricultural festivals, none of these has a place within the ways of Witch.
But the ways of Witch from the source, are still there, and can be accessed by those who know how, where, when and why, such knowledge lays hidden, protected and preserved until the time is right, one such place of protection is within the Bloodline of a Red Thread Witch Family, where the knowledge from the source lays undiluted and unbastardised. Memories of specific ways of working, of living, of being, are still alive today, perhaps hidden, yet in plain view for those who have access to the understandings of such. The ways of honour, trust and truth of a Witch Family, understandings of realms and how to access and work with other races and beings, along with respect for the Land and for those entities and Guardians who inhabit the places of power, these things are important to this Family of Ravening, and bring their own rewards as threads laid down bring memories of the Land to live again.
