Household of Family Ravening
Witch has always been a reclusive entity, a part of mankind yet a race apart, not usually sitting comfortably within society’s constructs. There are many who claim the name Witch, yet who know little of what Witch is and even less of what Witch does. To practice ‘magic’ or ‘witchcraft’ doesn’t necessarily mean someone is Witch, neither does the claim that someone was ‘born’ into ‘a witch family’. This is often the easiest trap to fall into, for the Bloodline of Witch is not always passed by physical means, although it would be incorrect to say this never happens. What is required often lays dormant, until sleeping Witch begins to dream; dreams that are often difficult to ignore.
Those who do begin to dream may feel Witch within themselves begin to stretch and awaken, and may find a difficult pathway ahead. The first question that arises may be:
“In the profusion of groups, individuals and the like who are apparently offering information or understanding on what it is to be Witch, or perhaps entry into Witchdom, which ones have what they claim to have, and which don’t?
To which, this Family would offer this thought:
“Does what you are being given or told sit right with you?”
If the answer is yes, go ahead and experience what is offered. It can be the way of things that many gateways must be accessed before the right one is found; when this happens you will know; you will sense it.
If the answer is no, it isn’t right: “Then walk away and search elsewhere.”
One of the tools Witch uses is that of the sixth sense; used well it will serve you the same; those who are able will find their way home and be welcomed. Slowly, and over time, the ways of Witch have become cloaked in mankind’s perception; understandings once held by Witch have been changed in an attempt to control those who are Witch and serve the ego and purposes of some. As those who are of the Blood begin to realise that today’s usual offerings, of society and of ‘witchcraft,’ do not sustain or fulfill, an attraction to the occult has gained momentum; people feel drawn to find what once was. Most search diligently in books and the writings of others to find what they need; most find only someone’s personal perception clouded by illusion: ritual and ceremony, pretty coloured candles, ribbons on trees, deity worship, gods in all guises and agricultural festivals. These perceptions and the lack of understanding that often sits within them are not the ways of Witch, unless of course they serve a purpose of Witch.
But the ways of Witch from the source are still there; they may be accessed by those who know how, where, when and why. Such knowledge lays hidden, protected and preserved. One such place of protection is held within the core of Ravening Red Thread Witch Family, where knowledge and understanding from the source lays undiluted.
Memories and understanding of specific ways of working, living, being, are still alive and working today, perhaps hidden from most, yet in plain view for those who can see with more than eyes.
Foundations such as the honour, justice and trust found within Ravening Red Thread Witch Family have been lost by most of society; as have understandings of realms, how to access and work with other races and beings and the ability to work, when required, with entities and Guardians who inhabit places of power. These things are important to the Household of Family Ravening, and they can bring their own return as threads laid down bring memories of the Ancestors to live again.
